Student Startup & Innovation Policy (SSIP 2.0)
Process to Apply:
a) Student need to fill the application form give below to apply for SSIP program.
b) Once application is received, initial screening shall be done and shortlisted applicants will be invited for making a presentation to "SSIP Scrutiny Committee".
c) Based on presentation, the committee will decide on the ideas/projects to be supported under the SSIP 2.0 program offered by NID.
d) NID/NDBI will support the idea/projects selected under SSIP 2.0 program for funding, mentoring, IPR and other guidance.

What is SSIP?
SSIP is Student Start-up & Innovation Policy.
SSIP is Student Startup & Innovation Policy, a flagship program of Government of Gujarat with primary objective of creating an integrated, university-based innovation ecosystem to support innovations and ideas of young students. Its goal is to provide a conducive environment to facilitate and pre-incubate innovative ideas to go through a stage of proof of concept, prototype, product, testing & trial, redesign and development of utility.
NID is one of the Nodel Institute to implement and promote SSIP program.
Who Can Apply?
Current students of NID and alumni up to 35 years of age having an innovative idea/prototype with a business potential and interested in commercializing their idea/prototype.
Supports given By NID:
a) Co-working space
b) Mentorship support
c) PoC support up to Rs.2,50,000/- for making prototype
d) 100% expense reimbursement for filing patent, design registration, copyright etc
e) IPR guidance through dedicated IPR cell
