The instructors of the proposed workshop shall be Ms. Yashashwi Rastogi (NID 2009) and Mr. Aman Jambughoda (NID 2007). Both come from Design, Art & Craft backgrounds, and have been exploring these domains since their childhood.
Yashashwi has worked as a designer in various sectors with reputed companies. She has worked at Nilkamal Ltd. - a furniture mass manufacturing company with focus on plastic, metal and engineered wood. She headed the design department at Aarya Precast Pvt. Ltd. - a custom design and fabrication company that primarily fabricates with GFRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete). She was involved as a designer with Sahaj - a social enterprise that works for the empowerment of tribal women through handicrafts. She also has 10+ years of teaching experience, as well as an empanelled Visiting Faculty at NID, Ahmedabad.
Aman has worked as a designer in varied disciplines such as Furniture & Interior Accessories, Interiors & Exhibition, Branding & Graphics, Signage & Wayfinding, Lifestyle Accessories, Home Textiles and System Design; and has 10+ years of teaching and mentoring experience. He has also worked extensively in the Handicraft sector of the country, including training, skill development & upgradation of craftspeople, product design & development and streamlining production processes, with a particular focus on eco-friendly & sustainable materials such as bamboo.
