Design Idea Fair (DIF)

Design is perceived as the new engine of economic and industrial growth. Design and breakthrough innovations can play a pivotal role in positioning Indian industries in the global arena apart from enhancing their competitiveness. In this context, NDBI is attempting to inculcate spirit of entrepreneurship in the creative minds of young designers so that their ideas metamorphose into new products or services capable of being marketed and sold. This approach is new to designers, as it never occurred to them that they could pursue their innovative inclinations to become Designpreneurs. An idea attains commercial overtones only when it achieves a positive commercial outcome. The focus is on building an enterprise culture amongst designers. It is well known that countries with high performing economies are those with the most enterprising people.

Design Idea Fair is an annual event organized by NDBI where design-led innovations/ ideas/ concepts and services are showcased to industry on a single platform to facilitate trade and exchange of intellectual property rights. It is essentially a buyer-seller meet.
